Drug PTI / Misdemeanor Drug Evaluation & Education

Suncoast Safety Council, Inc. provides Misdemeanor Drug evaluation and education for those clients that are screened for eligibility through the States Attorney’s Office and Salvation Army Probation. The program consists of a one (1) hour face-to-face evaluation and a twelve (12) hour education component.

The one (1) hour evaluation is completed by experienced certified instructors who use empirically proven assessment tools and a comprehensive psychosocial to determine risk of re-offending.

The twelve (12) hour education curriculum includes two evidenced based modules. The first section provides information about the primary, chronic and progressive disease of addiction. The second section offers practical information about sleep, nutrition, finances, time management, and stress management.

Registration for the required evaluation may be done in-person or by telephone. The cost of the evaluation is $50.00 and is payable by cash, check, money order or major credit card.

Registration for classes can be completed by telephone, in-person or on-line. Completion of the evaluation component is required prior to class participation. The cost of the class is $145.00 and is payable by cash, check, money order or major credit card. If you choose to register for the class online, please ensure that you have completed the evaluation portion of the program first or you will not gain admittance to class.

Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most common occupational diseases. Always wear your recommended equipment to prevent hearing loss (canal caps, earplugs or earmuffs), which may vary depending on the noise level and work environment. If you are uncertain, ask. If you have to shout over noise to be heard on or off the job, that noise could be damaging your hearing.
